Tye River · Nelson County, VA
We only sell what our own family eats. That one rule shapes everything we do.
Our Story
Ginter Family Farm is a small family operation in Tye River, Virginia. What began as a deep commitment to eating well has grown into a year-round farm producing pasture-raised chicken and turkey, eggs, microgreens, vegetables, and a full line of handcrafted goods.
We sell at two local markets in Nelson County and put the same care into every product — because our family is eating it too.
How We Raise Our Animals
Our chickens and turkeys are fed only verified non-GMO, soy-free feed. Most farms — even ones labeled “natural” — still use soy because it’s cheap. We don’t.
Our birds have real pasture access every day. Our customers consistently call it the best chicken they’ve ever tasted. We think that says everything.
No Chemical Inputs
No sprays, no synthetic fertilizers. We grow in soil built from our own compost.
Non-GMO & Soy-Free
All animal feed is verified non-GMO and soy-free — a standard we hold firm on.
We Eat What We Sell
Every product at market is on our own table. No exceptions.
Year-Round
Two markets, twelve months. We show up every week because our community counts on us.
